GOALS…

I was studying goal setting this morning and came across a great quote…

“The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we hit it.”

–Michelangelo

This idea is undoubtedly a critical concept to understand and master when planning our life as we advance. Unfortunately, I am guilty as charged! When planning my goals, I underestimate myself and have a dialog that compromises my dreams, thoughts, and wishes. A particular purpose is too much or unachievable; I am not worthy of the outcome. This is the central block for many people trying to dream BIG! You are worthy! You deserve your best life. Darren Hardy, in his book, “Living Your Best Year Ever,” https://store.darrenhardy.com/products/living-your-best-year-ever, has some excellent advice for those setting their goals:

Don’t Just Think it — INK IT.  Put your goals in writing!

Suspend Reality.  What if a genie gave you ten wishes?

Go BIG.  See Michelangelo’s quote above!

Speak in the Positive.  Use “I have” instead of “I want.” A subtle but meaningful difference.

State in the “I am.” “I am living a life of passion and service!”

Be Sure They Are YOUR Goals.  The goals you decide on must be from your heart and passion.

Make Sure Your Goals Align With Your Values.  Achievable goals must sync with your heart and soul.

Don’t Be Afraid to Fight.  Instead, find your internal, worthy enemy. What’s your reason for fighting?

Abandon Limiting Beliefs.

Fear Not.  Try to abandon your fear of success!

You deserve to live the life you want. Limiting ourselves conflicts with the limitless opportunities the Universe or Divine Creator offers. Few, if any, of us live up to our ultimate abilities, but that is just another reason why it is so wondrous to be human; the human condition is always to strive to live to our most fabulous self or potential! Writing this post achieved one of my goals today — to live a life of service and value to others. I hope I met that goal.

So what will your goals be for today, tomorrow, or your entire life?

Be well…
